Product description

Cercis canadensis is a tree that flowers in April with pink/purple flowers. These flowers are produced on the branches before the leaves appear, making them extra visible. Around the end of May, the light red leaves start to appear. These leaves turn reddish green in Summer, after which they turn yellow or red in Fall. Cercics is an easy to maintain tree that only requires pruning if you want to keep it in shape. Pruning should be done at the start of summer and generally is only neccesary when the tree isn't fully grown. Cercis grows best on a sheltered but sunny spot - although it is fully hardy. Bees, bumblebees and butterflies love this tree.
